An Unforeseen Knock On Effect Of The Current Credit Crunch
I spoke today with a friend who I have not seen for the past few months and, as usual, asked “How is business?” I know that he is a will writer and estate planner but I was shocked to hear that he is really struggling.
In the past he has generated his business from leads supplied to him by mortgage brokers and insurers who, as part of their sale, have to ask “Do you have a will?” The downturn is having a double whammy effect as fewer and fewer people are changing their houses and those that do are watching every cent. Although the need for wills and estate planning has not diminished the want has.
It is important to make sure that all your affairs are in order during these difficult financial times as what would have been minor problems in the past are now magnified as the recession bites. Any problem that arises sadly will be that of your familyand could lead to years of expensive litigation.
